Home to 60,000 people, Bensalem is a suburban community dedicated to enriching the lives of its residents. The town consists of its own police department, school district, country club, and more. Additionally, its central park is well known for its amphitheater. Penn Community Bank Amphitheater hosts outdoor performances during the summer and a festival during the fall.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP
With a constantly growing population, the township's technological needs have expanded. The partnership between ET&T and Bensalem Township dates back to 2003, beginning with the installation of an Inter-tel Axxess system.
The township requested an IP solution which we have accommodated by running 100 Cat 6 cables throughout the Township in addition to cables for Police body cams. We have deployed a multi-faceted Mitel 3300 platform in the Township building and networked the Public Works location. This solution offered the township real-time communication that delivers the seamless integration of voice, email, unified messaging, mobility, presence, conferencing, and more – enabling faster, more effective communication.
After the success of the township install, Bensalem Township Country Club needed us to install their own Mitel 3300 system, operating on an independent network.
