This year I have taken on a challenge to raise as much money as possible in a ten week period. The Man & Woman
of the Year campaign is a fundraising competition which goes through June 2nd with a Grand Finale Gala
at Renaissance Allentown. Last year’s campaign raised over $320k and we have a challenge to break that
record. With your help, we can exceed that total!
The reason this cause is so important to me is because during my coaching days, one of the girls on my daughter’s
basketball team was diagnosed with Leukemia and eventually lost her battle. Being involved with this campaign
gives me the opportunity to raise awareness and help out in some small way.
I’ve seen the results of not only blood cancer breakthroughs, but breakthroughs in cancer treatments through the
research that LLS funds. I can truly appreciate the importance of an organization that devotes $0.78 out of
every dollar raised to research.
